Before a chrysanthemum opens, there is the bud — the 'tai' chrysanthemum, the finest grade of Hangzhou white chrysanthemum, picked in Tongxiang while still closed. A day too late and it is ordinary; picked now, it holds the whole flower's clarity. It is the growers' own favourite cup.

- One sachet, 250ml water at 90°C, steep 3 minutes.
